If you fail to get those main messages across in the first seconds, you can forget about the Nobel Prize you listed at the bottom of the third page! You really need to answer the above in the top half of the first page.
Your CV will for almost all jobs be viewed by a few people. Each of them is filtering what he/she likes. You have to make sure your CV will pass everyone’s test. Every time!

The Best CV Template
The best CV template is the one that uses the full width of the page. Doesn’t have the words like “Name:”, “Date of Birth:”, etc wasting the valuable space.
The point is to highlight your key skills, and show in what jobs have used those skills. This enables a recruiter to quickly asses on what level have you used those skills and for how long. Do that test yourself. If you cannot assess what are the top 3 to 5 skills in the first 10 seconds of looking at your CV start writing it again. If you cannot assess in what jobs, when and how long was each of those skills utilised, neither will the hiring manager be able to do so and the CV goes straight to the bin.
